Ballots for March primary election have been mailed

Ballots for the March 5 primary election have been mailed to all registered Mariposa County voters as of Feb. 5, according to Courtney Progner Morrow, Mariposa County Clerk, Treasurer and Registrar of Voters.

Eligible residents can register to vote up until Feb. 19.
Ballot drop boxes have also been made available throughout the county from Feb. 5 to election day, March 5.

Drop boxes are available at the following locations at variable hours according to location: Mariposa County Elections Dept. parking lot, 4982 10th Street Mariposa, Available 24 hours; Lake Don Pedro Community Services District Office, 9751 Merced Falls Rd., La Grange, Available Mon., Tues., Thurs. & Fri. 7:30 am – 2:30 pm; Yosemite Public Library, 9042 Village Drive, Yosemite, Available Tues. & Wed. 10:30 pm – 5:00 pm; Pine Tree Market, 7995 Chilnualna Falls Rd., Wawona, Available Mon. – Sun 8:00 am – 6:00 pm; Triangle Market & Mini Storage, 3125 Triangle Road, Mariposa, Available Mon. – Sat. 7:00 am – 8:00 pm, Sun. 8:00 am – 8:00 pm; The Oaks Deli & Gas, 4993 Hornitos Rd., Catheys Valley, Available Mon. – Fri. 5:00 am – 9:00 pm, Sat. – Sun. 6:00 am – 9:00 pm; Coulter Café & General Store, 5015 Main Street, Coulterville, Available Mon. – Sun. 9:00 am – 6:00 pm; Bootjack Equipment Rental & Feed, 5039 Cole Road, Mariposa, Available Mon. – Fri. 7:30 am – 5:30 pm, Sat. – Sun. 7:30 am – 4:00 pm.
Four in-person voting centers will also be available for casting ballots. Those locations and hours are: Mariposa County Elections Office, 4982 10th Street, MariposaFebruary 24 ‐ 25, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm; February 26 ‐ March 1, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm; March 2‐3, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm; March 4, 8:00 am ‐ 5:00 pm; Election Day March 5, 7:00 am – 8:00 pm;

Lushmeadows Fire Station, 6008 Monte Vista Dr., Mariposa, February 24 ‐ March 4, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm, Election Day March 5, 7:00 am – 8:00 pm;

Greeley Hill Community Hall Club, 10332B Fiske Road, Coulterville, Election Day March 5, 7:00 am – 8:00 pm;

Carroll N. Clark Community Hall, 5512 Foresta Rd., El Portal, Election Day March 5, 7:00 am – 8:00 pm.

Mariposa County voters can now sign up for the Secretary of State’s “Where’s My Ballot?” tool to receive automatic updates on the status of their vote-by-mail ballots. Voters can sign up at WheresMyBallot.sos.ca.gov to receive notifications about their vote-by-mail ballots by email, SMS (text), or voice call.
