Webinars are slated to mitigate the effects of wildfires

Yosemite Gateway Prescribed Burn Cooperative and the University of California Cooperative Extension are organizing the following free monthly webinar series to arm area residents with the knowledge and tools necessary to mitigate the effects of wildfires.

On Wednesday, March 6 from 4 to 5 p.m. they will be joined by two insurance brokers from Mariposa and Madera Counties to inform residents on the state of fire insurance in those counties.

On Wednesday, March 27 from 4 to 5 p.m., particpants will be talking about “Firewise Communities” with representatives from Coarsegold Resource Conservation District and Mariposa County Fire Department.
