The cartoon puts President Trump at the podium under a banner. I now identify as a woman. “So I guess that makes me the first female president.”
The room loses its mind. No, that doesn’t count. We can’t celebrate him. We need to change our gender ideology.
That is hilarious.
Their rule is identity is enough. Until the identity is his. Then the rule needs an emergency exception.
If they cheer, they just handed him the first-woman title they have been saving for someone else. If they refuse, they admit identity is a story they tell when it helps.
The press would call it transphobic. That is the same press that told you a man is a woman if he says so.
You cannot have both. Either the words work for everyone or they are a costume.
Imagine the magazine cover. Woman of the Year. Same face. Same suit. New headline. They would light the building on fire before they printed it.
They built a rule they cannot apply to the one person they refuse to honor. That is not principle. That is a preference.
A girl is a girl. A man at a podium saying otherwise does not change the fact. It only shows who actually believes the speech.
If identity is sacred until Trump uses it, was it ever a rule?
