In a touching ceremony, the Hornitos 4-H came together at St. Catherine’s Church and Cemetery in Hornitos to participate in the Wreaths Across America event, honoring the brave men and women who have served our nation.

The event, which took place on Dec. 16 last year, provided a poignant opportunity for reflection, gratitude, and remembrance.

The Wreaths Across America ceremony is an annual tradition that takes place simultaneously at cemeteries across the country. Its mission is to remember, honor, and teach—remember the fallen, honor those who serve, and teach the younger generations about the value of freedom and the sacrifices made to protect it.

The members of the Hornitos 4-H club took part in the ceremony as well as placing wreaths on the graves. The club would like to express their gratitude to Paul Ladd for saying the prayer and veteran Jon Turner who was the guest speaker for the event.

The club also extends their appreciation to all community members that helped to donate money for the event again this year.
