Las Mariposa Civil War Days return April 13-14

Cannons will roar, sabers will rattle and muskets will bark during the upcoming Las Mariposa Civil War Days set for Saturday and Sunday, April 13-14.

This family-friendly Civil War reenactment will be held at Long’s Mariposa Ranch, just outside of Mariposa. The entrance is off of Yaqui Gulch Road. Gates are open on Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Three battles will be held on Saturday at noon, 3 p.m., and 7 p.m. Following church on Sunday under the trees at 9:30 a.m., two more battles will take place at 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

Those attending are urged to bring their own seatings like blankets or lawn chairs. No ice chests or pets are allowed.

There will be Civil War era vendors on hand, plus food and beverages will be available from local non-profit vendors.

The entry fee is $20 per car load.
