County makes sand, sandbags available ahead of storms

The Mariposa County Department of Public Works is advising residents to prepare for storms in the forecast by obtaining sand and sandbags available at designated county fire stations.

Residents should consult the county flyer for participating fire station locations and are reminded to bring their own shovels when collecting the materials.

For questions about sand or sandbags, contact Mariposa County Fire at (209) 966-4330.
