Grizzlies move league opener to MCHS lower field

Mariposa County High School will open Southern League play Friday night against Gustine at the lower field on the high school campus after the game was moved from its original location.

The change was made because the Mariposa County Fairgrounds is being used by a federal fire camp supporting the response to the Dome Fire in Yosemite National Park.

The Grizzlies enter the league opener looking to rebound from a narrow 29-28 non-league loss to Amador last week, a game that closed out their pre-league schedule.

Kickoff is scheduled for 7:15 p.m.
