Mariposa Family Resource Center to Host CPR and First Aid Class
The Mariposa Family Resource Center will offer a general CPR and basic first aid class on Thursday, Aug. 6, beginning at 10 a.m. The community training is designed to help participants respond to a range of common medical emergencies and safety situations.
The class will be held at the Mariposa Family Resource Center, 5057 Highway 140, Suite E, in Mariposa.

Instruction will cover CPR for all ages, automated external defibrillator (AED) use, choking, shock, bleeding, burns and fractures. Additional topics will include heart attacks, strokes, diabetes-related emergencies, severe allergic reactions and EpiPen use, opioid overdose response and Narcan, heat stroke and other emergency scenarios.
The class is open to all community members. Those interested may register using the QR code and can call or text Joe at (916) 390-9672 with questions.
The program is a collaboration among Professional CPR, the Mariposa Family Resource Center and Oso Strategics, LLC.
