Mariposa County Sheriff’s Foundation to host community day

The Mariposa County Sheriff’s Foundation will host a community event at Jerseydale Ranch designed to bring residents together for a day of connection, support and family-friendly activities in recognition of the local Sheriff’s Office.

The event will feature free burgers (while they last), activities for all ages, a chance to meet members of the foundation board and opportunities for residents to learn more about how the foundation supports the Mariposa County Sheriff’s Office.

A K9 demonstration is also planned, giving attendees a closer look at one of the specialized public-safety resources connected to the Sheriff’s Office.

The gathering is being promoted as “a day of community, connection and support for our Sheriff’s Office,” with the foundation emphasizing the theme, “Stronger together. Safer tomorrow.”

The event will take place at Jerseydale Ranch, 6584 Jerseydale Road in Mariposa.

The Mariposa County Sheriff’s Foundation says its mission is to support the men and women who serve the community by helping provide resources, training, equipment and outreach beyond what may be covered through regular public funding.

Residents are encouraged to attend, meet foundation representatives and learn more about the organization’s role in strengthening ties between law enforcement and the community.
