Operation Turkey to provide Thanksgiving meals to Mariposa County families

The fifth annual Operation Turkey will provide Thanksgiving meals to Mariposa County families through a partnership of local public agencies and community organizations.

Participating partners include the Mariposa County Sheriff’s Office, Mariposa County Sheriff’s Foundation, Mariposa County Probation Department and Pioneer Market. The effort began as a grassroots initiative and has grown into an annual community event.

Families seeking assistance this Thanksgiving can reserve a meal by contacting Mariposa Safe Families at (209) 966-2211. Reservations must be made by 5 p.m. Nov. 17.
