Child Support Services Director Receives Statewide Award

Mariposa County Families Benefit from Regional Partnership

Sarah Honeycutt, Director of the Regional Child Support Services program serving Mariposa County and Madera County, recently received the 2026 California Child Support Association Outstanding Individual Achievement Award for her leadership in improving child support operations throughout California.

Honeycutt was recognized for developing and managing the statewide Case Financial Workers Forum, an initiative focused on improving consistency and accuracy in child support financial processes. The award honors individuals who have made significant contributions to California’s child support program.

helping maximize state and federal funding for services that directly benefit families.

Mariposa County Child Support Services works with parents to establish parentage, obtain and modify child support orders, collect and distribute child support payments, enforce court-ordered support, and maintain accurate child support records. The department’s mission is to help ensure children receive the financial support they are entitled to while providing fair, professional service to both parents.

With 26 years of experience in child support operations, Honeycutt, along with Deputy Director Cynthia Ramos, provide training, operational guidance, and ongoing support to Mariposa County staff, helping ensure local families continue receiving reliable, high-quality service backed by the resources and expertise of a larger regional program.

“This partnership allows us to combine resources and expertise while ensuring Mariposa families continue to receive the personalized, high-quality service they deserve.”
