Road Work to bring delays on Triangle Road

Residents traveling Triangle Road should prepare for delays beginning Sept. 24, 2026, as a county contractor starts an asphalt slurry seal and striping project between Highway 49 and Triangle Park Road.

One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Monday while crews complete the work. Drivers are advised to expect delays and use alternate routes when possible.

Additional centerline and edge-line striping on Triangle Road between Highway 49 and Highway 140 is expected to begin Oct. 5, 2026. That work will take place in a moving construction zone and may also cause traffic delays.

Officials are urging drivers to watch for wet paint, slow down near cone zones and remain patient around road crews. The schedule remains subject to change because of weather conditions.
